Jude
24To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— 25to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.
This doxology written a long time ago is our blessed assurance and our hope for eternity. It comes with a hefty warning though,
3Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints. 4For certain men whose condemnation was written about[b] long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.
Jude was in desperate times seeing corruption creep into the church, it wasn't too long after and the world went into what we call the dark ages. Of all the things that we can do is, it is to share about Jesus and see that we fight and defend our faith. We are in a time of peace but that can slip away at the change of the wind. I pray that my Lord Jesus forgives me of all my sins and that I would be a true and faithful servant into all eternity.
God be God in my life, I need You more and more, Your grace is the glory of the church, Your grace is the adorning hair on your bride blowing west for the wind comes from the power of your throne.
