God I thank you that you have kept me over the years. I pray for exceeding faithfulness and joy to be poured out on all who take time and read this devotion of mine.
Lord you have lead me to seek out and to know more of king solomon so today I continue in 1 kings chapter 4:29-34
Solomon's Wisdom
29 God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore. 30 Solomon's wisdom was greater than the wisdom of all the men of the East, and greater than all the wisdom of Egypt. 31 He was wiser than any other man, including Ethan the Ezrahite—wiser than Heman, Calcol and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And his fame spread to all the surrounding nations. 32 He spoke three thousand proverbs and his songs numbered a thousand and five. 33 He described plant life, from the cedar of Lebanon to the hyssop that grows out of walls. He also taught about animals and birds, reptiles and fish. 34 Men of all nations came to listen to Solomon's wisdom, sent by all the kings of the world, who had heard of his wisdom.
The wisdom that you put in Solomon was even greater than what you have put in Bill Gates, but I can clearly see and can relate to how much Mr. Gates has acquired through his wisdom. Wisdom goes far beyond good ideas. I have so many good little ideas but I have no clue on how to implement them or how to get the funding to start them. I am in such desperate need of Godly wisdom that goes past gut instinct but becomes attuned listening to the throne room of God. Today I ask that you would lead me in every phone call and in every email, in my comings and goings.
It is written that there are numerous items of information of wisdom recorded by solomon that are no longer available to us, I pray that God you would reveal the artistry and wisdom to this generation in forms of songs, art, poems and dance.
